 Ramakrishna Math, Pala

The Ramakrishna Math and Mission were founded by Swami Vivekananda, a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, in 1897. The primary aim was to propagate the teachings of Vedanta and to serve humanity, following the ideals of renunciation and selfless service.
Ramakrishna Math, Pala, is the branch centre of the internationally well known Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. It is located in Kerala State in South India. It was founded in 1926, this ashrama in Kerala was made a sub-centre under Thiruvalla branch in 1967. In 1977-78 it became a sub-centre under Thrissur branch and in 1987 it was given the status of a full- fledged branch of the Ramakrishna Math.

TAILORING CLASSES (EVERY SATURDAY)

On the auspicious day of" Diwali"(31-10-2024), Ramakrishna Math, Pala Ashram has introduced a weekly tailoring class held every Saturday on our campus. This initiative is dedicated to empowering local women by providing them with valuable skills in tailoring and stitching, enhancing their ability to earn an income and support their families. The classes cover both basic and advanced techniques, allowing participants to progress at their own pace, and are conducted by experienced instructors committed to fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Through this program, the ashram aims to uplift women in the community, promoting self-reliance, confidence, and a path to financial independence.

                                               DIWALI CELEBRATION(31-10-2024)

On 31st October 2024, Diwali was joyfully celebrated at Ramakrishna Math, Pala Ashram, coinciding with the auspicious day of Kali Puja. The temple was beautifully adorned with traditional diyas and earthen lamps, creating a warm, radiant glow, and fireworks lit up the evening sky. Devotees gathered in reverence, actively participating in the holy occasion, making the celebration both vibrant and spiritually uplifting.

"Empowering Lives through Sewing Machine Distribution"

On 29th September 2024, Ramakrishna Math Pala Ashram organized a small cultural program as part of its ongoing rural development efforts. During the event, 9 sewing machines were distributed to local residents in need, empowering them to become more self-reliant and supporting their livelihood. This initiative reflects the ashram's commitment to uplifting the community and fostering self-sufficiency.

 ONAM CELEBRATION(2024)


Onam was joyfully celebrated at Ramakrishna Math Pala with active participation from our Sanskrit college students. Beautiful pookalam designs made with vibrant flowers adorned the ashram, adding to the festive spirit. The celebrations included a variety of cultural programs, showcasing traditional art forms, followed by a grand Kerala Sadhya feast, which was lovingly prepared and served to all attendees. The event was a perfect blend of devotion, culture, and community bonding.

                                                                                                Janmashtami celebrations

Janmashtami, the celebration of Lord Krishna's birth, is a vibrant and spiritual event at the Ramakrishna Math Pala Ashram. The festivities begin with devotional singing, including bhajans and kirtans, which create a deeply spiritual atmosphere. 

The celebration also features the traditional Shobha Yatra procession, where numerous children, beautifully adorned as Krishna and Radha, participate with great enthusiasm. The procession is a vibrant and colorful display, capturing the essence of Krishna's playful and divine nature, as the young devotees bring the characters to life in a heartwarming and joyous spectacle.
