 Ramakrishna Math, Pala

The Ramakrishna Math and Mission were founded by Swami Vivekananda, a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, in 1897. The primary aim was to propagate the teachings of Vedanta and to serve humanity, following the ideals of renunciation and selfless service.
Ramakrishna Math, Pala, is the branch centre of the internationally well known Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. It is located in Kerala State in South India. It was founded in 1926, this ashrama in Kerala was made a sub-centre under Thiruvalla branch in 1967. In 1977-78 it became a sub-centre under Thrissur branch and in 1987 it was given the status of a full- fledged branch of the Ramakrishna Math.

CHRISTAMAS EVE CELEBRATION (24-12-2025)

On 24 December 2025, Christmas Eve was reverently observed at Ramakrishna Math, Pala in a spirit of harmony and devotion. After the completion of the evening Śrī Rāmakṛṣṇa Ārati, a special Jesus Christ Ārati was offered, during which Christmas carols were melodiously played. Devotees offered flowers and other offerings to Lord Jesus Christ with deep reverence.

Swami Vitasangananda read selected passages from the Holy Bible and spoke on the spiritual significance of Christmas, explaining why Ramakrishna Math celebrates Christmas Eve in the light of Sri Ramakrishna’s universal message of harmony among religions. A few devotees later shared their personal spiritual experiences and reflections. The programme concluded with the distribution of Prasād, in which all present joyfully participated.

HOLY MOTHER SRI SARADA DEVI JAYANTI CELEBRATION

Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi Jayanti was reverently celebrated on 11 December 2025 at Ramakrishna Math, Pala, Kerala, in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Around 80 devotees participated in the sacred celebrations and were blessed to receive Holy Prasad.
The day began in the early morning with chanting, bhajans, and special puja, filling the Math with deep devotion and serenity. Later, Prof. Saritha Iyer delivered an inspiring and eloquent discourse on the life, compassion, and teachings of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, which deeply touched and motivated the devotees to follow her ideals of purity, selflessness, and universal love.
Following the discourse, Bhog Arati was solemnly performed for Sri Ramakrishna Dev and Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. After the Arati, all devotees participated with devotion in Pushpanjali, offering flowers at the Holy Mother’s feet.
The sacred programme concluded with the distribution of Mother’s Prasad, leaving the devotees spiritually enriched, peaceful, and grateful for the divine blessings received on this auspicious occasion.

 Viveka Jyothi 2025–26 competitions(20-10-2025)


Viveka Jyothi 2025–26 competitions were successfully held on 20th October 2025 (Deepavali Day) at Sri Ramakrishna Adarsa Sanskrit College, Pala. Around 120 school children from various schools across Kottayam District enthusiastically participated in the different events conducted in connection with Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day 2026 celebrations. The participants showcased their talents in chanting, elocution, essay writing, drawing, and other competitions. The event concluded with the serving of lunch prasad to all participants, creating an atmosphere of joy and devotion.
