The Ramakrishna Math and Mission were founded by Swami Vivekananda, a disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, in 1897. The primary aim was to propagate the teachings of Vedanta and to serve humanity, following the ideals of renunciation and selfless service.
Ramakrishna Math, Pala, is the branch centre of the internationally well known Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. It is located in Kerala State in South India. It was founded in 1926, this ashrama in Kerala was made a sub-centre under Thiruvalla branch in 1967. In 1977-78 it became a sub-centre under Thrissur branch and in 1987 it was given the status of a full- fledged branch of the Ramakrishna Math.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI CELEBRATION

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was solemnly celebrated at Ramakrishna Math, Pala Ashram on 10th January. The day commenced in the early hours with Sri Ramakrishna MangalÄrati, followed by chanting and devotional bhajans dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. This was followed by the special puja offered with reverence and devotion.
At around 10:00 a.m., a public function was held in the auditorium, where several learned orators delivered inspiring talks highlighting the life, ideals, and timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing their relevance to the present generation.
This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony for children, honoring the young participants who excelled in various competitions organized in connection with Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. Additionally, prizes were distributed to the winners of the Vivekananda Jyothi Competition, which had been conducted on 20-10-2025.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of many devotees, students, and well-wishers. Later, all gathered at the temple to witness Sri Ramakrishna Puja and Arati, concluding the celebrations on a deeply spiritual note. Around 180 devotees partook of the PrasÄd, bringing the auspicious programme to a graceful close, with the boundless grace of Sri Ramakrishna.
